4. a. Self Managed Rescue. SARfinder® 1003 MKII Man Overboard Locator on boat receives ‘SOS’ signal from Personal Locator Beacon on MOB, Man Overboard Alarm auto activates, SARfinder® 1003 MKII Tracks SOS Homing Signal, MOB is rescued.

4. b. Coast Guard Assisted Rescue. Local Coast Guards are radioed and requested to recover Man Overboard who is wearing a 121.5MHz PLB. SAR vehicles track 121.5 MHz Personal Locator Beacon Homing Signal.
